Things may have started a little stormy for Lockport on the final day of the 2017 Porter Summer Classic Wood Bat Tournament, but the rain brought a clean slate for the home team. The only run Lockport allowed in the doubleheader came in the first half inning of the semifinal game against Andrew, but it was smooth sailing from there. Porters starting pitchers Tommy Louch and CJ Weins combined for 21 strikeouts over the two games, lifting their team to 2-1 and 5-0 wins over Andrew and Marist, respectively, June 28 to clinch the tournament crown.
