Kat Samardzija, a Homer Glen resident currently attending Grand Valley State University in Michigan on a tennis scholarship, is the owner of Locker Lifestyle, which makes several durable bands that store small personal belongings. She has already won first place in three entrepreneurship competitions, which has helped propel her business forward.
