Roughly a year after Tom Kelly’s opened, the recession hit. But through that and the last 13 years, the restaurant’s drive in customer service has helped it thrive.

The Irish-American restaurant is owned by Kelly and Brett Trumpey, and Kelly’s parents, Pat and Jerry Lavery.

“We always wanted to have an Irish-American restaurant,” Kelly said. “When we first opened, we had a menu similar to the one now with bar items, but then also higher-end items, so you could come have a beer after work but you can also bring your family back for dinner.”
