Students at William J. Butler Elementary School learned the essentials to becoming a widely read author and sketch artist. 

Tom Watson, author of the illustrated “Stick Dog” and “Stick Cat” books, gave a presentation to students that was part stand-up comedy routine, part seminar on how to draw the characters from his widely-read children’s novels on Feb. 4.
