On Feb. 21, the team of Lockport Township High School Mathletes put up some impressive numbers in their regional competition, placing third overall, with two students earning perfect scores for the event.

Seniors Daniel Cruz and Allison Brown led their team to the highest placement LTHS has ever earned in the regional competition. Taking place at Lincoln-Way East, the mathletes earned medals and ribbons in nine different categories.

“This is crazy-big for us,” Brown said. “Getting that perfect score really set us up for this competition.”
